Bellamy vector

this is my latest vector, i thought it was about time i did some art that was just for leisure, that wasn't being assessed ayt uni, as most of my recent work is printmaking. Well I went for a bit of a mixed style here, collaborating my two main vector styles into the one, I was going to do this as a full colour vector, but I had sooooo much trouble getting the skin to actually look good, so i thought i'd be more experimental and mix my line shading effect with the blocked colour of the hair, jewelry and clothing. I think it turned out really effective, usually with my line effect i would draw each individual line, and it would take flippin ages, but i got lazy this time and created a pattern, then just created the shapes of the shadows. as you can see the lines are made up of square sections, I think this gives it an interesting element, i quite like it all. The hair is my favourite part (but thats just because I like drawing hair in vectors!) Hope you guys like it! all up it's probably taken me about 5 hours to complete.
